Description

The IDERHA project (Integration of Heterogeneous Data and Evidence towards Regulatory and HTA Acceptance) is an EU-funded initiative working to advance the integration and use of health data to improve research, diagnosis, and treatment.

HSbooster.eu provided targeted support to IDERHA through tailored one-to-one consultancy by expert Amelie Gyrard, helping IDERHA map its deliverables to relevant standards and identify engagement pathways with standards bodies. A key element of this collaboration was the formation of a health project cluster, including ASCAPE, iHELP, Bigpicture, EUCAIM, and HealthData@EU, which fostered knowledge-sharing and joint action on shared standardisation challenges.

IDERHA also participated in deep-dive workshops and webinars hosted by HSbooster.eu, contributing to cross-project dialogue on AI standardisation and health data interoperability. The project made use of the Standards Orientation Tool (SOT) to assess its readiness and explore relevant standards, technical committees, and working groups.

This cooperation led to several outcomes, including the co-authorship of a joint paper presented at the Medical Informatics Europe (MIE) 2024 conference, highlighting the cluster’s work on integrating standards like HL7 FHIR, DICOM, OMOP, and ISO Health Informatics for cancer-related data use cases. HSbooster.eu further provided IDERHA with strategic guidance on engaging with standardisation communities and advancing its role within the broader health data ecosystem.

By working together, IDERHA and its partners were able to strengthen their collective impact, influence the evolving standardisation landscape, and take concrete steps toward aligning innovative research with sustainable, standards-based solutions.
